Journaling reads: Trees are traditionally tall & straight. This little guy had lived in the shade of larger ones on the edge of our woods. When we cleared for our house, our heart went out to this little birch tree & we hoped for him to straighten. (We never did tether him to help him out.) After five years this tree has grown many feet & his fall color caught my eye. I think he is beautiful just as he is.
