This is a picture from a postcard I have of the Historic Ravenswood Home in our town. I pass it everyday and always wish I could live there. It was built after the 1906 SF earthquake for a well-to-do family from the City as their damaged home was being rebuilt. When their home in SF was ready, the teenage son, who had become acclimated to his new home and friends in Livermore, stayed behind with an aunt while he completed high school. He was also the school's quarterback in his senior year. Ravenswood is now owned by the historical society.
