The first official hike of the season didn't take place until June 22 in this transitional year, but it was worth the wait. The first part (just a mile+ in) was to cross the glacial Sandy River. There used to be a bridge, but a huge flood in 2007 completely changed this area.

A lovely double page. I love how the twig crossed the page and the butterfly leads the eye across the gutter to the right hand page.

Beautiful! Love how the photo is tucked into the flap of the paper texture. The pink flowers are a perfect pop of color.
