Journaling: Ive always been drawn to old quilts, cross-stitch samplers and crafty things with some wear on them. I think its because I wonder about the people who made them and their stories. Did they enjoy crafting? Was it a necessity or self-expression or both? Did they find joy in creating something? I like to think that these older ways are art with heart, a way to share who they were with those they loved or for them. That reminds me to slow down and play with color and design in my own modern way.
