Everywhere we went in Cuba, there was artwork. I thought at first that the art pieces were simply cheap reproductions, like one sees in countries in Europe. It soon became apparent that these were actual paintings done by the people who were selling them, or their relatives. There are some impressive artists in Cuba! If I had brought an extra suitcase, I would have purchased more than I did.
The top painting was purchased by one of the ladies in our tour group. The other two I would have purchased, but they were too big to fit in my suitcase, and one does not ship things in Cuba. I did come home with three smaller works and will enjoy the memories of Cuba that they bring back to me.
