August Challenge #4 - Inspiration: Color at Oscraps
https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?p=554684#post554684

I chose the pink as my main color and the dark purple as my accent. I was having a difficult time getting started with this challenge. I don't have many photos that would use this palette other than flowers and I wasn't in the mood to scrap that. I happened to come across this photo of my dog from 10 years ago, and the pink bandage jumped out as a perfect match.

Journaling reads:
After bringing home our pet rat from surgery yesterday, I started thinking about all of the different surgeries we have gone through as pet parents. We have dealt with everything from the common spaying to a patellar luxation, which literally ripped apart my dogs knee and repaired it with pins, plates, and screws. This photo is from The More Unusual Category: Aural Hematoma Repair. Our one dog thought it would be great fun to play-fight by biting the other dogs ear, which made her ear swell up and bruise. Poor puppys head had to be all bandaged up while she healed.

well, how not fun is that ... poor little puppy. worst surgery for my poor Samantha dog (rip) was when she was attacked by a coyote. Samantha was a 10 lbs soaking wet, half yorkie/half pomeranian with the spirit of a warrior -- she came through her surgery and stitches galore --- and left us in peaceful old age. Interesting, it's her birthday today

Aaw...poor pup; and your poor wallet! I'm sure everyone who has pets has experienced some kind of medical trauma associated with caring for them. That's a sweet picture. I love all the texture you achieved.
