Journaling:
(Dave's father) sailed to France during World War 2. After that he never felt a need to travel outside the United States, and then usually only to attend Optometric meetings, or to visit relatives in Oklahoma. He could never understand people who felt the need to get away to relax. He was content to be at home with his family, friends, and garden. But even into very advanced year, he enjoyed riding his bicycle around Seward Park in Seattle.
