the view from my Grandma's porch in my childhood hometown. thanks to AnnaTeamer, Chris Asbury for her tutorial on using FotoGlows: http://annaaspnes.typepad.com/anna/2012/02/tutorial-using-fotoglows-.html i used Anna Aspnes' new Warm Glows No.1 to enhance the photo.

from Grandma's porch
you could see one of the mills in our valley.
it coughed smoke
always. and joyously
it was life to our city
smokey and golden.
revered. before making things
became a sin.

Fabulous!!! LOVE all the little touches here - so many inspirational techniques and ideas to look at!

Ohhhhhh, I love the colors here, I can be looking at this page for a long time, definitely a favorite. Ann

I haven't had a chance to go through the tutorial as yet - it gave fabulous results. love the lift.

Oo-o-o, another gorgeous piece of art. I love the branches and the sage-y green blended into the peach. The Glows look fabulous in the photo. (Bought 'em - now if I can only make them work.) Simply beautiful.

How did you make a photo of a mill that belches smoke into a work of art! this is gorgeous! I am wordless to say just how much I like this page! WOW!

Oh, gosh, this really hits home, even though my dad didn't work in the steel plant, he worked on a machine that tooled steel parts, the WWII generation, beautifully done, Love the orange glow in the distance and LOVE the leaves you put on the branches, well done my friend!

So many wonderful elements on this fabulous page. Love the etched leaves added to the Twiggies and the shadowing is amazing. Glad you found the FG tutorial helpful.
