Spent some time planting trees in Joplin, Mo with hundreds of teens from across the state in a project called 'Rooting for Joplin.' Hundreds of teens and adults gathered to plant 1000 new trees along the miles of neighborhoods and parks that were destroyed in the tornado on 5.22.11. Although 1000 new trees sound like a large number, over 10,000 trees were lost in all the awful destruction that day. What a worthy cause and so many wonderful young people working 'together' and 'lending a hand' to help rebuild Joplin, MO.
