Journaling:Summer 1959. Life was simple. No running water ... drinking water was drawn by bucket from a well. Everyone had an outhouse. No telephone. Sunscreen was unheard of ... just Moms watchful eye. Hours on the beach ... wading, splashing and paddling with pals. Plastic pails and shovels would entertain for hours. Bonfires at night, telling old stories and singing well-loved songs. Board games and playing cards. It was quite simply PERFECT.
