Color blocking is one of my favorite design effects. So, I was looking through my stash for a photo to use for the lift and I discovered that I had scads of cacti photos. So I decided to use one, it went well with the colors and color blocking in APP Sibling.

Process notes:
I used ArtsyPaper No. 3 from APP Siblings as my background, rotating it 90. Added Pattern Paper No. 1 onto top using multiply as the blend mode. I placed my photo into the white rectangle, masking in the edges for a smoother look. Duplicate it twice, using blend modes of color burn @25% and soft light @100%. Then I clipped a corrugated transfer to photo, reduced opacity to 70%. Added two transfers from Artsy Transfers Siblings above and behind the art. Title was my final touch.
