Notes: Using my favorite filters right now, Cutout and Posterizer on the background photo and moved to a new 12x12 PS file. The Statue of Liberty was extracted from its background and made black and white and brought onto the page over the background.
Solid paper 2 is the foundation and the photo was blended to Vivid Light, bringing out the paper texture. The background photo was duplicated and clipped to the Statue of Liberty, with the Statue blended to Darker Color and the clipped photo blended to Color Burn. I duplicated the Statue and pulled it underneath, clipped a Color Fill layer to it, using a color from the sky and blended the photo to Vivid Light and the Color Fill layer opacity was turned down. I moved it slightly with the arrow keys. Another copy of the Statue was made and put on top of the stack and blended to Vivid Light.
The title, word art and quote was added along with the splatters. That finished the page. It sure was fun experimenting with this technique and going through the different blended modes to get the look I was happy with. This was a great AnnaLift!
