AnnaLift - Archeologist

I fall face first into Pinterest and Im loving all the rough drawing over photos and thought I would give it a go with this layout. It was fun!

Journaling: Sophie was all excited to be an archeologist for a day and wanted to look the part, despite her broken foot in a boot. Even though she uses crutches to walk, she didnt want them in this photo. After Sophie was shown the site where a new bridge will be built in a nearby town on Google Earth, they proceeded to the site to make sure there wasnt anything of archeological significance. She got filthy dirty while doing the screening at the site. She said she had to scrub her boot and shower off the inch of dirt that was all over her. Shes ready to do some more. Thank goodness her boot is coming off at the end of the month and hopefully gets the all clear to live life without crutches. Shes not letting them stop her.

Notes: Extracting Sophie from the background, I opened a new 12x12 file and used solid paper 1 from the kit as the foundation. Bringing in the mod mask, I clipped solid paper 6 and a transfer to it and blended the mask to Linear Burn. Bringing in the extracted Sophie, I resized and placed her over the background layers.

Below her in the layers panel, I created a stroke outline with the rectangle tool and typed out the title, rotating and placing over the stroke. I then deleted a part of the stroke using the rectangle tool once again. I used several retired different strokes brushes at her feet and also placed a spackle texture which I blended to Linear Burn.

Using a brush from the kit I put the perfect at the top of the rectangle, then brought in the journaling, rotating and placing it on the page.

Finally, I drew with a PS brush in white on the photo and called it done. :-D Wish I was there to get an after picture of her.
Congratulations on the Standing O!
