A lot of different names for what was my favorite
adventure in New Zealand.
A farm of unparalleled beauty and variety, the filming location for a long 22-minute segment of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, including the abandoned farm where the adventurers camped for the night, the scene of the Trolls campfire, Gandalf splitting the rock and turning the trolls to stone, the trolls cave and the finding of swords, and finally, the ride of Radagast to distract the Wargs.
