One of my most favourite traditions at Christmas is setting a glittering table with candles and crystal and napery and all the best china.
When were finished with our splendiferous meal we adjourn to the deck to sit back and listen to the young ones sing carols under the stars before heading off to bed.
When our kids were little their eyes would light up when they saw the wonder and beauty and fun of the Christmas table. It's wonderful to see them in turn creating the same beautiful memories for their own children.
