The Samurai in the photo wasn't the real deal I don't think LOL
This is a very interesting place to visit. It looks very feudal. After the war, the buildings in Tsumago were rebuilt as they would have looked back in the Edo era. You can walk to the next town and along the way see some of the original stone pavers. You really get a sense of Japan's history here.
