an American Tune

i've always been a bit obsessed with Paul Simon's song "An American Tune." a different take on what it means to be an American in the 20th and 21st centuries. a bit of nostalgia. a bit of pathos. a little worrying. i decided to use Anna Aspnes' ArtPlay Palette Red White Blue to scrap two pages of my dad during WWII, when things seemed clearer and it was easy to sing An American Tune.

Love your layout - it's so very true. Life is really different now. Your dad was a very handsome man!

you know I'm a fan of all your pages but this one and your words especially touched my heart. I remember those childhood years -

Oh I wished I had photos of my dad when he was younger... this double page spread is fantastic.. Love the red white and blue..
