Ampelmann of ex-East Germany became a cult object
What a pity he cannot speak: the chap of the pedestrian fires(lights) of former(old) GDR could tell many things!
The real values continue:l'Ampelmann Ampelmann resisted all the revolutions. He(it) indeed made the object of a real affair of state when experts of the traffic(circulation) West - German wanted to change all the fires(lights) of former(old) East Germany. The man in the hat must be replaced by his western-German counterpart, adopted by the rest of Europe. Ampelmann even became the legal subject-matter of a dispute when businessmen became aware of his(her,its) cult character and began to quarrel the rights concerning him(it).
