For me, it’s not about sweeping resolutions but small, meaningful changes. Getting fitter doesn’t mean signing up for extreme workouts; it means taking a walk every morning or making healthier choices at the dinner table. Losing weight isn’t about drastic diets; it’s about balance and sustainability. Sleeping better might start with reading in bed instead of scrolling.
This time of year also reminds me to focus on gratitude. I’m lucky to have a loving husband and supportive parents who anchor me. Life isn’t without its challenges, though—my in-laws are a source of tension, and my husband’s surgery was a stark reminder of how fragile health can be. But in all of this, I see opportunities for growth and kindness, both toward others and myself.
As I ease into the new year, I remind myself to take things slowly. Not everything has to be perfect (a lesson that perfectionist me still struggles with!), and not every day will be productive. But every step forward—no matter how small—counts.
