'Grinch'

Journaling: Grinch. Ella has suffered 3 migraines in as many days this week which landed us in the doctors office. Even with a furrowed brow from the pain, she managed to muster enough enthusiasm to proclaim how excited she was about Christmas, and asked if I felt the same. It was at this point, I felt like the Grinch portrayed in some of the fun snapshots wed taken during Lukes pre-season basketball game, a few weeks earlier. I remember at her age I felt the same way, but the responsibilities of adulthood, age and experience, dampen some of that enthusiasm. I do enjoy this season of joy and goodwill immensely, but not as much as I did when I was 14 years old. 6 Dec 2016
