A Good Day

Sean & Mat. A Good Day

My son just entered his last semester of college this week, which has me reminiscing about his carefree early days.
This is an old photo of him and a friend feeding seagulls at the beach. 1994.

Process:
I first used a blur effect on the photo with the app BlurFX, although you can also achieve this with the blur tool in PS/PSE.
The photo layer consists of one of the wonderful new FotoInspired Masks No.2.
To the mask I clipped a copy of the background paper and two copies of the photo.
To maintain a vintage feel, I set the first photo at 40% Darken Mode and the second photo at 100% Luminosity Mode.
I added WarmGlows No. 1 and No. 3 to enhance the photo.

I placed the doilie transfer under the photo layer to support the curved shape of the foto mask.
The page was completed with text, word transfers and line overlays to frame the photo.
Woweeeeee Chris... I would never have thought about putting a blur on a photo, but I'm sure gonna try it now... this is spectacular... you are THE QUEEN of warm glows.... OMGosh, it adds sooo much to this photo.... Brilliant as usual!

I couldnt wait for someone else to post into the Standing O.... I did it!

I love the warm colours in this photo and your blurring the photo. That's something I'm going to try.

So cool looking, Chris! Thanks for the how to info............have to try your methods.
