Another page for my Retro Christmas book. Thanks for looking!

Despite Santas visit,
it was a blue Christmas.
My maternal Grandfather
died suddenly in May 1955
and my paternal Grandfather
died the same year on
Christmas Eve after
spending months in the
VA hospital with lung cancer
(he smoked a pipe). For
years, on December 24th,
one could note a hint
of sadness amidst the
holiday cheer.

Beautiful page! I love the retro look of the lights with the vintage photo. I'm so sorry that this Christmas was touched with sorrow, that can be so difficult, even years later. You've created a beautiful memory page though!

Wonderful photo. I love the little appliances in the background. The holidays are such a mixed bag. It's nice that at least some of your memories are happy ones. Love the string of lights at the bottom of the photo combined with stitched hearts.
