5 Generations

It might not seem that this is a priceless photo to me by the way I "trashed" this layout, but this is the most important photo I have! Unfortunatley, this is how all of our older photo albums and pictures have come to us: pen scribbles on tattered frames, creased and discolored newspaper clippings, old tape that has petrified into cement and stains from photos that have been removed from the page (journaling is below the credits if you are interested).

(Taken Christmas Day, 1953, Granite, Oklahoma):
5 Generations: My mother is the baby being held by her father, Jerry McAlpin, sitting beside his father, Louis McAlpin, sitting beside his mother, Doma Cecil McAlpin, sitting beside her mother, Polly Ann Riley Cecil. (Polly is my great-great-great grandmother and this is the only photo I have of her; Louis, my great-grandfather, didn't like photos, so this is the only picture of him I have ever seen).
What a precious photo!!! Yes, some of my mom's photo album pages are similar to this with yellowing tape, newspaper clippings, etc. So glad you have this wonderful page of the generations. Thanks for joining the challenge.

Absolutely love it! I have so many pages that look just like this! I especially like the font you choose! Perfect! Wonderful job!

What a delightful generational photo! Yes, we inherit messes of photos and albums but I love that you have it secured in digital form now. How priceless. Wonderful.

Such a treasure of a photo! I actually love all the scribbles and tape...preserving the entirety of what you've inherited and preserved it for future generations! Well done, Kasey!

You've created a very lovely page with your treasured photo and newspaper clips! It's great to have new technology to preserve our fragile treasures.
