Just playing around & creating my own fading text. The journaling reads: "its 4 oclock in the morning and a wry smile hides just exactly how tired i really feel".

I used a gradient (foreground colour to transparent) to create the fade and I also followed a tutorial by Amanda Taylor to brighten the photo.
