Journalling
Random thoughts
I sit here pondering, Wondering;
The words that should flow just do not ...
Where next?
A different skein of thought.
Can I recapture a moment past?
In the vault that holds on to the memories of times long gone.
Childhood pains, or hopes and dreams,
Too ephemeral to catch more than a fleeting glimpse
As they flicker across the screen of the mind’s eye.
Perhaps better left unvisited after all…
Other childhoods left behind
Where the wish would be to be to go back
And change perhaps a single moment
Speak a word left unsaid
Or yet take back words that escaped that would have been better left shackled within
We all have moments regretted
And paths that would have been better left untrod
But these are the seeds we sow to make up our lives.
We cannot go back and change them
Forgiveness of others is a comfort to us
Possibly more so than to the forgiven
Forgiveness of our-selves goes to our very being
Offering succour to our souls
