One of my favorite birding activities is the Audubon Christmas bird count. This bird count is done all through the US and the data is used to monitor bird wellness. My DH and I have doing this for over 30 years. Our group now does a bird survey at a state park Cheesequake. My youngest son has even gone a few times. These are photos of the park and one of my favorite birds.
