2006 was a very big year for me... SO much happened , and it all seems like just yesterday... So I have looked everything over and chosen what I think is my most favorite thing to remember... I got to travel from my home in N. California to my sons home in Escalante, Utah... It is located in the middle of the bottom of the state and is reached (for me) by flying to Las Vegas and then driving t4 1/2 hours to get there! Christopher met me, and we stayed in one of his Time Shares in Vegas, and he treated me to a really special night out on the town! His home in Utah is an old Mormon home, that he and his wife are renovating. I went for Thanksgiving a very special time for the ones in Escalante... It is a tiny town, and many residents are not year round. My sons friends and family all get together for a BIG Thanksgiving dinner, that goes on for as many days as people want to come back... New food is added each day, to supplement the leftovers... I also got to meet my brand new 5th grand child Rowan who was born on Sept. 11th ... One of my favorite things was getting to stay in a tiny OLD house, all by myself... I loved that little house... Bryce Canyon is about an hours drive to the west and Chris and I spent one day exploring this beautiful National Park...
