On Friday Evening October 3, Ron and I joined the Photo Bugs for an Oktoberfest
Celebration... It turned out to be a total BUST!!! Supposed to be held in a barn, the city of Redding had checked it out earlier in the day and said, NO WAY! there were no over head sprinklers... Thus when we arrived, the employees were still working on getting things set up on the actual farm, which is geared to children, and was NOT part of our admission price... So we got to see it by default... It was somewhat less than
exciting to us adults... we were there for the Bratwurst and German potato pancakes... Well that never happened... They started cooking sometime soon after the 6 PM start time, and still nothing was ready by 8 PM... We had sat there for over 2 hours , bored spitless, unable to hear the music or see the dance floor... There were a total of 15 of us at the beginning... by 8 PM there were 7 left and we voted to go back into town to Logans where we had a great meal and a fun time...
