My thoughts on Housework!
On the Subject of Housework....First of all even though not a 4 letter word I do believe it is a DIRTY word!!!! I live alone... well, sort if...I do share my home with 2 cats, and they really do contribute a LOT to making the house a mess and nothing towards keeping it clean... That said I cant believe how quickly a clean house will disintegrate into Chaos!!! Housework is one of those things that is NEVER done...
When I was working I used to love coming home to the clean house...I would tip toe through and just smile...But there are more important things in my life than housework (Like Scrap booking), thus I will NEVER EVER be Mrs. Clean!!! I always tell people, that it is Not a pit, but you would never want to eat off my Kitchen floor!!!! I remember the first day the cleaning lady came... to look the situation over and decide if she wanted to become my cleaning lady...She sat there with her mouth hanging open as her eyes traveled over the bookshelves and the plant shelves up by the ceiling, with displays attractively arranged...all she could say was... Oh My...You have a LOT of stuff. This is true and I work very hard to keep it neat and arranged...Artistic arrangements were never anything she understood...When she would work in areas where I had spent hours arranging things in precise ways, she would just shove it all back in place, in no particular order!!! sometimes even facing the back of the shelf rather than forward...I realized then that People who like to clean, do NOT understand those of us who are artistic and they NEVER will!!! ....and yes, in the interest of protecting your belongings and not expecting her to sort through the stuff you have not gotten to yet, the hours before her arrival were spent...gasp!!! YES!!! cleaning!!!!...I also gave her a break and told her the craft room and the computer room were off limits to her!!! She breathed a sigh of relief at that information...I do long to have a cleaning lady again...but there are so many other things to spend that money on and no really good reason, why I cant do my own...except for Scrap Booking!!!! Oh and one more thing...I agree totally that if you put something away, you totally forget you have it!!!!
