In addition to the scenic stops along the 17-mile drive, we took the time to browse the tables of Navajo jewelry and crafts on display. Remember sedans driving three miles an hour and tours carrying visitors shrouded against the dust, and how our ride was premium.
This would be the first time I bought something from the Navajo artists just to extract it for my journal. ;)
