After walking all around Nob Hill, trying to decide on a place for dinner we were stumped. We were tired & wanted simple but more than a sandwich. Finally we used our phones & saw there were a lot of places DOWN the hill. We went down, street by street, til we found the funky Hotel Rex. It was perfect! Simple but excellent food, & reasonable prices. Dick opted for fish n.chips while I had sweet potato ravioli with pine nuts & panchetta. Excellent. Of course there was a price to pay for this. We had to walk many blocks UP the hill to get back to our hotel. I thought the walk would kill me but I lived to tell the tale. Barely...
