When your spouse dies, life changes completely. Dreams of what will be change in an instance. Slowly you begin to adjust to the new reality and start accepting that there is still a life to live and happiness to be found if you have the fortitude to look for it. To me, the Phoenix is the symbol of rising from the devastating change and finding hope that there will be good in the life yet to come.

Kay this is a spectacular layout. I can not imagine how your dreams changed after the loss of you love. I love the phoenix and how you used it to symbolize how you rose up and created a different life. I love how its framed so spectacularly and your quote. Just stunning.

I have always loved images of the phoenix and have collected several quotes about them. The phoenix represent what it has been like to have my life change so drastically...

Kay, what a gorgeous LO; love how everything goes so well together and I love the colors! My hubby and I have been together 38 years; he is 94 and I am 75, I try not to let myself wander into that territory. I love him dearly and our love has grown stronger each year.

Treasure your time with him. And take lots of photos of him and both of you together! Those photos will be so precious when/if that time comes.:heartpumpred:

This is absolutely moving and emotionally charged, Kay. I feel the same way - I'm slowly adjusting to the loss of my Chuck. Your life DOES change and every day is a challenge in some small or big way. I JUSt got the last thing tied out the last "loose end" and it seemed to take forever. I LOVE the Phoenix, too. Awesome start to the Divided Template!
