April AJ Week 2 {RESOLVE}

Week 2 of our Art Journaling Challenges has been posted. Our word prompt for April is RESOLVE. I continued with the Traveler's Notebook again this week. I took inspiration from one of the quotes that I found which really spoke to me:
"Resolve to do the things you find to be difficult. That's what confident people do. They tackle those things that are scary and they get addicted to doing it."

I acted like "a confident person" when I got on a plane on December 28th and stepped WAY out of my comfort zone. I flew to Las Vegas with my daughter and son-in-law, but we went in our own directions once we arrived. My dear friend, Susie @pachimac met our plane (which arrived very late) and I spent the next few days with her and her family. What a wonderful time we had. I actually used a lot of the "similar words" from Susie's Week 1 post. I made my own word strips.

This is amazing and kudos for stepping out of your comfort zone, that is hard, I know. Love the quote you took inspiration from, boy, can I relate to that ! Beautiful journal layout, such great photos and the plane photo made me chuckle, I have that clenched jaw look on airplanes too, but there are things that are so worth it - So glad you found a new thing and did your own new "thang"

What a fantastic layout for Resolve! I love everything about this! I love the journal book. I love the photos!!!! I love your determination to go. Traveling/flying is such a hassle, I can see why you wouldn't want to go but oh the fun you had because you went. This is the definition of resolve. I love this!! :heartpumppink:

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, Evelyn. It was a great adventure and I'm so glad I pushed myself. These journals are challenging for me because I want to put too much on them. I'm so happy that you like it!

Thanks so much, Jeanne. It took all of the "resolve" I could find to get on that plane, especially at that time of year. We had major delays on both legs of the flight. I DO kind of have a clenched jaw look on my face, don't I? I never relax while I'm in that "big flying box". :lol23::lol23:

Thanks so much, Tracy. Flying is such a hassle and we had major delays on both legs - going and returning. It WAS New Year's Eve weekend, so we just had to endure the delays. Yes, it was totally worth it. I had such a wonderful time!

Thanks, Vicky. We were all so tired when she took this selfie. We were finally on the last leg of the trip after about a 6 hour delay at the previous stop. Roger was getting sick, too - good times. I'm glad you like my page.
