I can't believe that I am sitting down after allll of the sitting I did yesterday. By the time we got back home last night, my butt was sore.
But it was worth it, all of the driving and traffic and having to get across 3 gazillion lanes on the Driscoll Bridge.
Side note: I googled the name of the bridge. I always called it the Raritan River Bridge or the Bridge from Hell. The Bridge Most Likely to Give Me a Heart Attack. But I digress. TIL that it is, according to Wikipedia, the widest bridge in the world:
(PS: Not my photo, it is from Wikipedia and definitely not taken during rush hour, HA!)
Cait was navigating with the GPS, and because of a traffic accident, it suggested I take the Express Lanes of the Parkway. That dumped me back on the GSP in the far left lane and I had to get all the way across to the right. In less than a mile. While everyone is doing 70 mph. Fricking nightmare fuel.
Despite being in the car for 5.5 hours to sit on the beach for 3.5, it really was worth it. Man, I missed the ocean. I also got to see dolphins! There was a group doing their little dive-dance. I could see three fins, might have been more. I wished I had my binoculars.
I thought I was going to have a quiet-ish day today but my ILs are coming here for lunch. Scott and Sam are stopping in at some point around then, too.
have a fab day, lOvelies!
