Yeah, yeah, that seems to be me *every* day lately but I realized that I never moved my AJ challenge yesterday. I uploaded the LOs to the Gallery and added them to the thread. But I never moved it even though I swore that I did. I have to change the links in the gallery credits because they go to the Planning area of the forums.

The weather was weird yesterday, not anywhere close to what was forecast. When I let the dogs out in the morning, it was cooler outside than inside with the AC on. I opened up the windows and didn't need to turn the AC back on until late afternoon. I hate how loud they are, just annoying buzzing in my brain. I needed to water the ferns but it rained so much that now I don't have to. I was able to get my grocery order done and maybe I'll have more realistic meal plans this time around. Last week was silly. Every meal I planned needed tofu and peppers. Did I have enough? Not a chance! That left me scrambling to come up with something else every night.

i worked another hour or so on camp planning. I also realized that I have the HS Pod field trip coming up on July 7. I'd better get that started too.

I have a full day of camp training today but I think much of it will be inside. Or at least half and half. It's the first day of the crazy heat wave so I'll have to pack extra water.

Some good thoughts to Caitlyn and Mouse, please-- Mouse did great with the cortisone shot but the effects are starting to wear off. She is starting to slow down quite a bit, not eating as much and sleeping most of the time. Cait had the last 4 days off and spent every minute that she could with her but expects the next few days to be Mouse's last. I love the rats-- all of them so very much-- I hate this part of it, though. Breaks my heart for them, for Caitlyn, and for myself.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!!
Sending out big hugs!

Yesterday was pretty crazy. First thing in the morning I did some pruning and yard work for our son. then we went on the final inspection of the house my daughter is buying....wow wow what a stunning home they will have. closing should be Tuesday or Wednesday. Usually the photos are so off but these are so accurate and it is even better in person.
Debby!! That is so wonderful! They must be thrilled. Do they expect to move in right after closing or will they need time to get everything from where they live now to the new place?
I can imagine how jazzed up G-DS was at the race track! Is his dad your DS who was in the Demo Derby? (If so-- I am not surprised at all LOL)
You sound like you are having a blast. Love it!!

Had a bit of a set-back yesterday. DD#3 was checking out the (trash) bulk pick-up rules for us... (she is getting a new mattress and needs to get rid of the old one). Turns out that they will only take 2 chairs in one pick-up and no tech stuff!!! She is tracking down where we can take the TV, monitor, printers, shredders and computers. And can only have 1 bulk pick-up per month... So much for getting rid of those in one pick-up. Good thing that I have room in the 3rd car garage to keep stuff until we can find where they have to be taken.
Well, that's a PITB! We have to find someone to remove the freon from the AC unit that had the mold recall on it. It's currently on the patio but has to get moved when the contractor comes. It feels like it is always something, right?
Feeling a bit lazy today so may have a 'couch potato' day... reading and/or watching movies.
That was me yesterday too!
An hour to the party and we're ready. Sangria in the fridge, tables and chairs set up, grill cleaned, house looking decent. Feels-like temp at the moment is 105° and we've still got a couple hours for temps to rise. We set up a canopy on the deck and put out some fans but I honestly think no one's going to be out there much. Next time I'm doing this in May and people can just wear their sweaters.
As long as the sangria was flowing, I bet you had a wonderful time and all of your friends did too. Cailtlyn's bridal shower last year was a hot, humid day like it is now so we had to take breaks inside and we still melted while having a wonderful time. I'm sure it was the same for you.

Wishing you all the best day ever!

Just a note as to how well my brain is working:
Went to the gallery to edit my AJ pages with the "correct" link. Noticed that the link address was the same. Well. Duh. I didn't make a new thread, I *moved* it.

@faerywings. We had rain early morning yesterday then it got hot.I agree the weather forecast was not as hot a predicted. One of our boating friends used to say :"weather liars"
You certainly have a diverse work schedule. Every day is different in a big way with so many different subjects. Yes with all that you are doing outside extra water is a great idea. This extreme heat is such a change for all of you it would be easy to dehydrate.

Yes we only have one son and one daughter so anytime I talk of them it's just them not #'s like @BrightEyes .
Yes Mike is auto repair shop owner, demolition derby driver, and autocross driver among his other stuff. Like my grandfather he's a workaholic.
Kris/family will start packing as soon as they close but won't be in a hurry. They need to have a patio built for their hot tub and get that moved before they put their house up for sale. Since they bought the staging house furniture they will only be moving a few big things so that should be pretty easy. They are undecided about having a moving company so not too sure of what they are doing quite yet. They next few days will tell the plan
Dinner last night with dear daughter and family was fun. Mostly talk about the new house so it was exciting to see them so happy. They lived in the current house 25 years so moving out will be emotional.
Today will be very hot here so I have a few indoor things planed so we can be in the A/C in the heat of the day.
@BrightEyes actually your couch potato day sounds wonderful to me. I hope you enjoyed it.

Oh, so sorry to hear about Mouse! Big hugs to you and Caitlyn! :hug4:
I'm not looking forward to the blasted heat wave this week, either! It was 95 here yesterday! YIKES!

Good Morning!
The Girls Are Back In Town!
Ilene and I got back here at 5 on Saturday. I had to drop some Arby's sandwiches off to Mark on my way to stop for a gas fillup and on to Ilene's. So, I was home to stay around 6:30. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! There's No Place Like Home after being away for the week!
We had a great time! The theater production of Noah was good. I had IBS stomach issues about half of the time. We all spent too much money! It was hot as you-know-what! We were more relaxed this trip, however. Ilene and I played lots of Qwirkle in the evenings and the others joined in off and on. We were in bed pretty early and up pretty early. We got $8 each in breakfast vouchers at a cute place across the street from the hotel called The Speckled Hen. So, if you plan to go to Amish country in PA sometime, book a room at The Carriage House in Strasburg. Nothing fancy, but clean rooms.....and free breakfast! And near everything Amish!
Doing my laundry as we speak and will probably work on Mark's this afternoon. My tummy is growling since I've been used to eating breakfast about now this past week, LOL! The coffee is very strong at The Speckled Hen, so I did not like it, no matter how much milk and sugar I added to it! So yesterday's coffee was WONDERFUL as is today's! ;)
I got the church stuff caught up last night and need to make the bank deposit and run to the grocery store in a few minutes.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
I will be working on pages for the trip throughout the week, so stay tuned! ;)

Quick in and out...I am up, showered and dressed already...(7:15AM).. DD#3 and her oldest son will be here this morning. He will take care of the HDs in the computers (destroy them). DD#3 has found a recycle company that may take the TV and electronics. She will talk to them this morning. She also has a list of other recycle places to contact. So with their help... I may be able to get rid of most of that stuff.

Wow... woke up to COOL weather... only 66*F right now!!! Suppose to rain later on today, tomorrow, Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Have the house opened up and a cool breeze is blowing through it. Heaven!!! Today should be the last of the 90's for the next week or so. Hope all of you can keep cool some how during the bad heat wave hitting the US...

Yes, I did enjoy being a couch potato yesterday... especially knowing that today will be a busy day. Off to get another cup of coffee and get busy sorting out more 'stuff'!! HAGD

Well, this day got away from me!! So its Good Evening O Fam instead of Good morning!
Just finished dinner and realized I didn't make it here yet. Where did the day go? Oh yeah, half of it in the car and half of it with grands.

See!!! I knew it!! You were making me wait longer!!! Total torture! I was looking yesterday and thinking it had to be close to time and NO you made me wait :bawling::bawling::bawling: See what you do to me??!! Crying a river over here!!!
:giggle4::giggle4::giggle4:
The Girls Are Back In Town!
YEAH! Glad youre back safe n sound. Sound like you had a great time! Now to get back in the groove of normal (whatever that is, I heard someone use the word once)
DD#3 has found a recycle company that may take the TV and electronics. She will talk to them this morning. She also has a list of other recycle places to contact. So with their help... I may be able to get rid of most of that stuff.
YEAH!! Hope you can get it all taken care of quickly and not drawn out all summer getting rid of one at a time. Its so hard to be motivated when you cant get rid of the pile of "trash".

My attitude is still so/so but I'm working on it. Tired of being "down" both physically and mentally. Not depressed just tired of being the dumping grounds for friends issues. I think they all communicated with each other and wanted to see how much could I take before I snapped. Well, I didn't snap but I sure over flexed and had to put my foot down. Its always funny when they're so shocked when I do that. I think I'm going to start charging and then maybe they wont complain so much. Off to check out the AJ challenge Chris made me wait forever for :giggle4::giggle4::giggle4: Tomorrow is a new day and my tude will be better. But I wont be here in the morning either as its VBS week and I have to take the teens tot help and then wait for them. Quiet time in my car with a book and my phone turned off.
