Guess what??
In ten hours, I will be showered, in my pjs, and contact lenses out. In 11 hours, I hope to be sipping a cold glass of Pinot Grigio on my sofa, feet up!
Today is one of our biggest field trip groups. 130+ fifth graders, which breaks into 6 groups of 20-23 kids each. Plus teachers and chaperones and sometimes the chaperones are harder to deal with than the kids.
Are we ready for this?
:hahano:
No matter how much we plan, how detailed all of the prep is, something always goes off the rails. It's a statistically high probability with that many kids outdoors.

Yesterday's field trip was one of those when everything was just a little bit off. I had a tough time with the first group. The teacher was brand new (started 3 weeks ago and already rethinking the position) and the chaperones were not all super helpful. I was unsure of the way I wanted the program to go and needed to mix things up a bit. Then my 2nd group had to go to the bathroom before we switched and I had already cleaned up my group to be passed to the next rotation. That threw off more timing, but it ended up working out. Ish :p . I ended up switching where and how I ran the session by the time I got to that last group -plus that teacher is awesome. I remember her from last year and she is one of those teachers who is so plugged into her kids.

Today I have 4 rounds of Survival Showdown and I least I have assisted and led parts of that one before. But 4-5 groups of 5th graders building fires??? Please give me patience, clarity of mind, and strength of steel! And good chaperones. Please give me good, helpful chaperones. :floorlaugh:

Wishing all of you a fantastic day!!

Quick personals today!

@BoatLady How exciting that your camera is here! Good luck with your planning and prep for camping. You're going to be on the road before you know it!

@Cherylndesigns Asher must have a strong focus on he things he enjoys. Such a great kid!
LOL-ing at you and the triangle!
I remember the Maypole dance too!

@taxed4ever That is a large group to hike with. I hope they find a way to keep it more manageable and enjoyable for everyone.
Yippee for the finished deck!
I get Facebook ads for "Seniors Raised Garden Plots." They look like stainless tubs and they show the seniors sitting on chairs harvesting veggies from them. I am not there yet, but soon!

@vickyday Proud of you with the decluttering! Hope you had a wonderful lunch with Mark, Ruby Tuesdays?

@JeanneMN Long days of games and meets, you are one dedicated Grandma!
I know you know because you don't seem to know what you said right after you said it, you know?
I do know!
What do I know?
:giggle4:

@bcgal00 So excited for you for the artisan markets! The first one will be the hardest, then you'll have everything ready to roll.

@AK_Tracy and how long does your springtime last? 2 days or 3? :p

@BrightEyes Yay for doing AJ challenges! I haven't even had a second to look at them.
Glad that you took it easy and watched some movies too

@FloridaGranny Hi Diane!

@tiffany scraps Those are great tips for me to get back on my feet. After the boot for so long, my gait and balance are 100% out of whack and I know yoga will help get that back. Thank you!

Hugs to you all!!

You're ready!!! You can do this and it will be amazing.
@AK_Tracy and how long does your springtime last? 2 days or 3? :p
Well, we dont even really call it spring, its breakup season. The snow breaks up, the ground breaks up, the lakes break up, the rivers break up, the roads break up :giggle4: So its breakup season. Which means mud and mud. Breakup usually lasts starting in March to about now. Now we have trees budding and the grass is starting to grow. Will be full blown Summer shortly, about 3 weeks. This year is weird though from lack of snow and we didn't have the usual mud (thankfully).

Today is Friday and the sun is out!! If she stays I get to porch sit this afternoon and read my book!!! WOOT WOOT!! Not counting on it though cause that's how the season rolls round here, clouds right roll in but ya know what? Its not raining at the moment and I am calling it a win.

@BoatLady Debby your comment cracked me up!!!! A big bucket of water. :floorlaugh:

Some how I lost tract of time yesterday - then realized it was already 4 PM and I had not run my errands!!! :( Decided to pick up mail at the neighborhood box .... the winds were really blowing already so came right back to the house. More winds and maybe rain today and tomorrow. Will play it by ear as to whether to run the errands or not.

Just finished uploading Challenge #6.... I forgot that I had it finished... good thing that I keep track of LOs in my notebook. :giggle4: I hope everyone is taking advantage of the iNSD sales. Lots of great bargains in the OS Store. Couldn't resist grabbing 1-2! Now to get the LOs made and posted before the sale is over!

@faerywings WOW that is a lot of kids to keep track of... can't imagine how you manage them all and add making fires, too! Yes, have a huge number of buckets of water nearby!!

@AK_Tracy that is a short time for spring (mud, mud, mud). Hope you get to sit outside and read today... sounds like a wonderful thing to do!!! I am all for reading... any time, any where!

@taxed4ever So glad the deck repair is done.... know you enjoy sitting out there on nice days.

Need more :coffeedrinker:and get busy. HAGD

Just 1-2? Yeah the sale is great but my checking account is screaming at me. Its doesn't understand girl math! I got twice the product for that price. Who cares that I spent grocery money :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: (not really just a joke, groceries are all purchased)

Whoot whoot first pics taken with my new camera....got to practice more. 24.2 megapixels are a huge improvement over 18.
Back later off to get my much needed haircut.

Saw and commented on your beautiful page, Kay! Thanks for participating!

Good Afternoon!
Been busy working in the bedroom today, shuffling furniture around.....the furniture I can easily slide around on the hard wood floors. I won't be moving the 2 ton bed around, however! I did that once and broke one of the legs that Mark had to re-weld together! He was not a happy camper! So the bed will stay where it is! It's really in the best place, anyway.

Mark is actually working today! They are behind and so he asked if he could work. They agreed, which shocked him! Just told him to avoid OT if possible!

That's about it. I need to start working on my widows' devotional for a week from next Tuesday, but first I need to work on Psalms 19 for our Ladies' Bible Study at church for May 10th, so I will probably rest from all of the pushing and shoving furniture around and work on those.

Have a great afternoon!

PS @faerywings - Saw my first hummingbird yesterday! WHOOT!
