CHEERY O
My almost 14 year old grandson, Asher plays in an 8th grade Honor's Orchestra. They competed, over the weekend, for the state competition and they won first place in every division!! I uploaded a video to You Tube and just have to share it! He plays the cello and is second chair on the right (second row).

WOW!!!! They are SO GOOD!!!   It is so sweet to be able to see what you got to experience, thank you for sharing this with us....congratulations to your sweet Asher and the rest of the orchestra...FANTASTIC job!! :heartpumplove::cheer::sparkles1::sparkles1::sparkles1:

Okay, I'm going to be the one to say this...I wish the conductor had gone for fuller sized panties that covered her more, or looser pants...her butt was SO distracting for me :floorlaugh::wardrobehide: Sorry...:monkebootie:

Thanks so much, Jenn. They are REALLY good!! About those pants - I was secretly afraid they might get graded down for that. Reason being, all of the other conductors looked so professional and just handled themselves so much better. Apparently, that didn't matter. I did not like them either.

Each group wears a different color and the 8th graders wear all black. They looked so sophisticated in their black attire. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

Jenn, I was thinking the exact same about the conductor's choice of clothing. I'm so glad the kids didn't get graded down for that.

They are phenomenal! It's amazing when you skim all of those highly motivated, highly talented, kids from any type of music program and put them all together with some equally motivated, talented, although fashion-challenged, leaders what total magic they can create for the ears- @joyfulheartdesigns thanks for saying what anyone with 20/20 vision was thinking. Uff dah, I was telling myself "not everyone likes your fashion choices, but I'm not standing in front of a group of kids who look like they could be at Carnegie Hall.

They are amazing, Jeanne! I can hardly believe they're only 8th graders. The discipline is also what I was amazed at. The kids were being graded from the time they got off the buses at the auditorium. They weren't even supposed to talk to anybody, but of course, we got lots of "eye contact" from Asher. His dad is remarried, and they have a 2-year-old. At one point in the video, you can hear Amelia squeal. Asher's eyes lit up and he smiled through them. It was SO precious.

That is wonderful that they did NOT due to her attire...a long flowy skirt would have been perfect in this situation :giggle4:
