@AK_Tracy Wake up!! :shakingsense: Time to get outta bed and check out the Color Plays!!! They are here!!!!

(I am such a terrible enabler :devil2: )

But seriously, have you *seen* them yet?? The Gallery is going to be swoon-worthy all weekend. I have two wedding pages using them in the Gallery and @joyfulheartdesigns picked one of them for the HAPS. My heart swelled when I saw it this morning, just soooo happy when I see wedding pics. :lovey3:

Did everyone have a great day yesterday?

I did! I was so happy at work and am super excited to start the official field trip season. It's just a mess of kids and chaos and nature. Cannot get better than that. I led the Stream Study training section and was practically out of my mind with joy. The director drove the UTV down to watch some of it (she drove me around too, also fun) and commented that I am a nature nerd. That 100% describes me and the team. One of the newer staff members is a naturalist and couldn't stop pointing out the flowers and bird calls. We heard a pileated woodpecker and he froze mid-sentence to look for it. You know how it is when you find your "people?" I am blessed, I have my online O-People and my IRL Nature Nerds.

I asked about the geology rotation and we can adapt it to only walking up a small path to an old stream/gneiss/puddingstone formation. I'll be fine for that. However... since I know next to nothing about rocks, I did a crash course before bed on the geological features of the NJ Highlands.
Puddingstone is one of the few rocks I can ID without any problem and gneiss is NJ bedrock so I usually can ID that one as well. All others- HA! Not a chance!. At least I know where we are supposed to bring the kids. That's a start. :D
It's a brand new program so we'll see how it goes! Wish us luck!

Enjoy your day and happy scrapping with the CPs!

@tanteva :sick: :bawling: :hiding1:
Absolutely awful.
I hope it is melted by now.

@BoatLady Yes, the ticks seem to be worse every year. I swear by Permethrin for clothes, boots, and my backpack. I use DEET in my yard and non-Weis areas and Picaridin when I am at work. Since it is a nature preserve, they prefer all-natural products so the Picaridin was a good compromise.
My fingers are crossed for the thyme as well.
I despise shopping, esp for clothes, so it makes me hopeful when I hear other people have fun doing that. But your friends sound awesome so that must help.
ome of the pics are on FB and 2 pages in my gallery. Come to find out it is a Cape May Warbler which is probably migrating N. I was thrilled to be able to photograph it. Also had the red bellied woodpecker, mocking bird, cardinals and the every day blue heron, snowy egret, great white egret, muscovy and mallard ducks. So @faerywings I did get some cute pics.
I am going to have to stalk your page/gallery!!

@BrightEyes Glad that you are finding ways to make it easier to get rid of/recycle the VHS tapes. Gary is having a horrible time with allergies this season, *knocks wood*-- so far so good for me. Hope yours ease up soon.
Good job with knowing when to take breaks and use the heating pad. ♥

We've never served 189 people. We got up to 173 one night but never 189. I was shocked.
:jawdrop2:
I really need to do some more challenges! Just can't get motivated with any of them! Even the Big Photo one which I usually love doing!
I hope your mojo comes back soon!

You have just described my entire week. I think Easter and missing Christian's birthday, even though it kept me out of the viper's pit, through me off a bit. First time anything is hard.
I am sorry you had a crazy week. And yes, 1st time is hard, but that means the 2nd time is easier. Hang in there!

The back deck is complete and they are working on the front one now. No railings for the front deck until sometime next week, that's ok I am just so happy to have this done before the kids come home at the end of June!
The deck is going to be awesome when it is done! And I *know* you are counting the days until June!
Haha, Chris, you do get me as I get you! Yes, perserverance is part of it but stubborness for sure drives it all. And you're right, I was ready to hang tough through the LONG trip home, but once the flight was turned back and all the additional day/walking, etc was added on, my foot yelled "NO!" and I cried "Uncle"... It was a smart move at that point haha. And, right again. Being in the air for two LONG flights - normal swelling or whatever did not make my foot at all happy......
Stubbornness can be a good thing, until it is most definitely not. Glad you found your line before you did more damage.
Are you getting any of the wildfire smoke? I hope not!

Hugs to youall, my dear Ooos!

The snow yesterday disappeared in just a couple of hours, and we're back to spring again. The birds are back to singing, and all is well with the world. We have a "blackbird singing in the dead of night". He's looking for love, hope his lady will arrive soon. I love the blackbird's singing, it's so beautiful. There's another bird, I'm not sure but I think it's the tit, who has the most annoying mating call. Drives me nuts.

And some great news: I just signed the contract for working at the library again! It might not really start until the summer. Unless someone get's sick or something. But at least - I'm back.

And now, I'll go back to reading my book. I'm currently re-reading Pride and Prejudice. How I love this book! I think I will be able to read for about 2 hrs, before I have to go and prepare tonight's taco dinner.

Today, life is good!

Gary is having a horrible time with allergies this season, *knocks wood*-- so far so good for me. Hope yours ease up soon.
Me too, and we haven't even really gotten spring yet. I used my inhaler 3 times yesterday, all the rain is wonderful, but the mold & pollen, oh my, paired with humidity wreaks havoc on my breathing.

That is so exciting! The library was my first job, in fact, I used to play library at home. Probably the reason I spent 35 years as a children's librarian. I am very happy for you! The smell of new books will kick out those blahs.

I got another Color Play layout done yesterday, how many have you gotten Tracy ? It started raining yesterday afternoon about 3 so the baseball game was cancelled . They moved the game to tonight at 4:30 and then the one scheduled for tonight is delayed til 6. Sounds like like it'll be a multi layer plus quilt evening. It's still raining now too so humidity & pollen will be high. We took ice cream cake and and gifts out to Christian last night . Had a lovely evening and did some major damage to that cake so it was a lot of fun.

I did finally do the Big Photo challenge! Marilyn liked it! @MariJ Thank you! :heartpumplove:

Good Morning,
Mark and I slept in until about 9 this morning! He went to bed at 11 but I went to bed at 2:30! So I got my usual 6 hours.
Nothing on the docket today. It's rainy and gloomy, so Mark isn't even going to the woods. Right now he is waiting for his phone to charge. He didn't plug it in correctly or something last night as he only had 4% power this morning so he is doing puzzles right now. I'm going to try to do some more challenges today!
Hope you all have a good Friday!

Happy :friday: It is another sunny beautiful day here and it’s so nice to not have to listen to banging, hammering and sanding going on all day long! The decks turned out wonderful, we couldn’t be happier with them! They will be getting a 5 star rating from us on their website. The railings on the top front deck will be installed on Wednesday, so that is good news and I will take photos of the after when they are done. Today DH and I are taking all of our cans and bottles to the recycling centre we have so many as we haven’t taken them for over a year, maybe longer  it will be good to get that mess dealt with! Other than that I still need to complete my colour play layout, it was hard to concentrate on it yesterday with all the noise going on here . It should be nice and quiet today.

It is so wonderful to hear how very happy you are with your work and the people that you work with ! Ha, Ha you are a nature nerd how great is that?!! You certainly are blessed and you deserve all of it!

Ughh on the wet humid weather and high pollen, hope you don’t suffer too much with your allergies ! Sounds like you had a great time last night and the cake sounds yummy!

Glad you have some peace and quiet today!
It has mostly been just gloomy.....looking like its going to rain, but only getting brief sprinkles/showers here and there. Just enough to mess up a perfectly good day otherwise! Please do send some of that sunshine our way! ;)
Looking forward to your before/after pics of the deck areas!

Morning, all. Been up and busy editing the color play LOs I posted earlier (put in the links to the store). Then adding the last of the color play LOs I had finished. Whew... glad to have them up-loaded to digi-land. I need to check on a couple of monthly challenges to see if the mojo will work on any of them....

The right shoulder is very sore this morning - even though I rubbed it down with AsperCreme before I went to sleep last night. So today will have to be a 'do nothing' day... and let it recover. Will do some 'wall walking' gentle stretches with it this afternoon.

I was doing a happy chair dance for you... So glad you are back to working again as I know how much you missed it.

I hear you about how the high humidity affects you. Same for me. It is always fun to be with family and celebrate birthdays together.

I did finally do the Big Photo challenge!

Good for you!!! It is fabulous!!

I wondered if all of your DVD/CD case work if you were going to be sore! Rest and reading sounds like a good day to me for you! ;)
Thank you! I was not exactly thrilled with my big photo page!

Good Evening!

@AK_Tracy Wake up!! :shakingsense: Time to get outta bed and check out the Color Plays!!! They are here!!!!

(I am such a terrible enabler :devil2: )
HAHAHAHA I saw them last night and already downloaded two of them!!!! They were all so beautiful. I loved something about every one of them.
We have a "blackbird singing in the dead of night". He's looking for love, hope his lady will arrive soon.
:giggle4: :giggle4: :giggle4: Great play on songs. We too are hearing the birds again and it feels so spring like.
I got another Color Play layout done yesterday, how many have you gotten Tracy ?
NONE! I had to go to Costco today. Haven't scrapped them yet but plans are blooming. (pun intended, so many beautiful flowers in the kits)
The decks turned out wonderful,
Yeah! So glad the decks are wonderful! Now you get to sit back and enjoy them.

Been a long day. 7 hours of driving. Beautiful drive. Pantry restocked, bank account zero again. Now to put my feet up and recover. Scrapping tomor........nope tomorrow we have to cut, pack and freeze all the onions, peppers, mushrooms etc we just bought. Lots and lots of chopping. Have a wonderful night!
