New iMac and Old Photoshop

For any of you using a Mac computer, can you tell me if my old Photo Shop CS6 extended version will work on the new operating system? I am looking at perhaps getting a newer iMac for my 65th birthday, but don't want to have to pay the monthly/yearly fee for a new version of Photoshop. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

I suspect that the old version of Photoshop you have wouldn't be updated to run on the new Mac OS so you'd need installer files which you can get from Creative Suite and download from your account if available. These wouldn't be available if the activation server has been retired of course. Good luck.

No, it won’t work. I haven’t be able to load it on my Mac for the last several major OS updates. I’m not even sure if it will run on the lastest versions of Windows. PSE has come quite far — have you considered that?
