Lover's Eyes

Eye miniatures were popular in the early 1800's. Women back then, wore these miniatures of their spouse or lover, in order to keep them secret as it was difficult to see who it was unless you knew the person intimately and look into their eyes! How cool and how creepy looking! These were coined "lover's eyes" and became quite the rage!
