Hi everyone! Sally here! I’ve been knee deep in my Cora’s graduation this month, but it hasn’t stopped me from doing a little bit of scrapping!! But due to my lack of time to sit down and really think on what I’m writing, I needed a little help!! I’m here to give you a little help, too!

Sometimes we just want something to spark our fast creativity. And today, that something is a journaling prompt. What is a journaling prompt, you ask? It is where you are given a scenario, set of words or word, or just a theme to get you started.

Quotes:

If you are not a writer or don’t really want to concentrate on the words on your layout, try grabbing a quote that says just what you want to say. We’ve talked about this before in our journaling discussions here on the blog. Check out our Quote Challenge gallery here to see how others have created LOs based on quotes. And don’t forget that the Quote Challenge happens in our rotating challenge every third month here at the O! Join in!! Here are some fun examples of using a quote for your journaling:

Dear Son by askings

Here Comes Life by SharLamb

Forever is Composed of Nows by Petey111

Kisses by kym

Aren’t these fabulous?

Scenarios:

How about running through the Oscraps gallery in general and getting ideas from others’ layouts?

Here’s an example:

Look at this LO here by Vivre!! It’s absolutely amazing!! Go and read her backstory! wow!!!!!

Play by Vivre

Now, I saw this LO in the gallery, and I was particularly touched by her journaling on the page. She doesn’t know the song of his heart. As a musician, I personally know the song of my heart, and that right there prompted me to create this LO:

Song of My Heart – cellomom

It’s an exciting journey to see how others’ creativity can spur you on!!

Word Prompts:

How about a little challenge for you today?

Here is a word prompt. Use these words to create your LO:

“When I grow up…”

Finish the sentence and scrap!

Here’s mine:

When I Grow Up – cellomom

I can’t wait to see what you create!!!

Don’t forget about using all of the word art our gorgeous designers have created for us in the store!

Link here in this post with your creations! You never know when there might be a random giveaway to commenters here on the BLOG!!!
