I hope you have enjoyed this rather different challenge and have learned a new way of casting a shadow. Lynne and I would like to thank you all for your wonderful pages in this challenge. The winner of the $5 coupon is AndreaRyan, but you are all winners to us. I will be contacting you very soon Andrea with your coupon code. Happy Scrapping

Hi Scrappers, welcome to the September Designer Challenge. The challenge for this month is to Create a CAST SHADOW. Sometimes the elements we use in our layouts seem to be just floating on our page. Adding a shadow can fix an image to the background and give it a more realistic appearance.

I’d like to make this challenge fairly simple by using a character from Lynne’s Kit called “Time and Place” https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Time-and-Place.html but you are welcome to use any element from any Kit from Lynne’s Collections. I will demonstrate the simple method I use often in my layouts to blend with backgrounds etc.

I have attached a PDF with full instructions below

I work with PSE so I couldn't use the tutorial. I copied and recoloured the deer and used a distort filter.
