Will you be staying home this Christmas?

We will, but it's only because we live in Indonesia and can't go skiing this year - plain tickets are crazy expensive at the moment. This year is an exception though as we normally go skiing every year because Christmas time is the best skiing time - deserted slopes and zero waiting time at the lifts come with the added benefit of a white Christmas - guaranteed. As we don't spend the holidays at home, we tend to spend a lot of quality time together as a family, fresh air and tons of physical exercise mean we are pleasantly tired and mellow once we return to our chalet - never a hotel room - in the afternoon and everyone is looking forward to a glass of something with cheese and Christmas cookies. Yes, this requires a lot of prior preparation because who's in the mood for cooking after a whole day on the slopes, but it's so totally worth it.

We will stay home this Christmas. Perhaps make a trip over to the beach if it is a nice day. I'll cook a big meal but we don't do much with gifts now...so we need something else to do that day!

Yes, we are. The past 5 years our DD has flown in from Dallas for Christmas, as our DS lives here. We have a few traditions we get to continue. Christmas is one of the only holidays we "get" because the rest our son and his family spend with the DIL's parents. So we make a big deal out of our family time. Looking forward to our Community Christmas Eve gathering. We aren't having services on Christmas Day, which is going to be nice. All 8 of us are together only twice a year. We pray and hope for our adoptive Honduran daughter and her daughter to be with us next year. We'd like to bring her to the U.S. and reunite the family, Lord willing!!!

It's just the 3 of us this Xmas. We moved away from the rest of the family early this year so this will be the first Xmas with it being just myself, my hubs and my daughter. It'll be quiet. My daughter will be working. I'll go out with the dogs for the afternoon while the turkey is cooking and then we'll all have dinner together.

Yep, travel prices are insane right now!

We are staying home. Usually we go to my parents' place (an 8 hour + drive). But husband shouldn't drive for so long these days and plane tickets for the four of us would be a LOT, plus the girls now have work and partners they don't want to miss over Christmas. And we are moving closer to my parents two days after Christmas so we'll do 'Christmas' with them in early January.

We'll be staying home for Christmas. We'll probably go spend a few hours at my sister's house, but otherwise, just relaxing at home. My mom will probably come over either on Christmas Eve or Day.
