Weight Loss Goal

I've lost almost 100 pounds in a little over a year and it's interesting how you don't even notice anything different until it hits you how much better you feel. I took a couple years long break from work during covid and I gained a lot of weight (tons of snacking while scrapbooking :chocolate: ) which took a toll on my quality of life. I could barely do anything except lay down all day. Even scrapbooking was really hard because I couldn't sit down at the computer for long periods. I returned to work two years ago and now that I lost the weight I can do much more but it didn't really hit me until a lot of my coworkers kept telling me how amazed they are at how much weight I've lost. It's crazy because you really can't tell just by looking in the mirror. It's weird how your mind fools you like that.
I still have chronic back issues but losing that weight has helped a lot and I can actually stand at work for 8 hours (even though by then end of my shift sometimes I still feel like I'm dying :gravedigger:)
I regret not taking full body before pics of myself but I don't like taking pics like that. Not yet at least :wizard1:
Anyway, my goal is to lose at least 30-40 maybe 50 more pounds! Wish me luck :D

Good luck and great job! I have lost 85 lbs, so I know a bit about what you are going through. I had the gastric sleeve surgery. It was the best decision I have ever made!

We are on the same path!! I've lost 91 and have about 25 to go!! Congratulations!!!!!

And boy do I have body dysmorphia - do you have that too?? I still see myself as fat even though I went into the dressing room and tried on a pair of size 10 pants and they closed. I started out a size 22 pants!! Why can't we see it?

My previous doctor really wanted me to have the surgery but I didn't want to go to that extreme unless I absolutely had to so she then recommended wegovy injections, this was right before the ozempic craze hit. It's worked really well for me. Surprisingly I'm still losing on it. I have to start actually working out, walking etc but I'm just still so tired after work I don't have a lot of energy left over but every day I get more and more energy to do things like spring cleaning and throwing out junk I don't need. I want to start walking a lot. That's another goal :D I get a lot of steps in at work but I need to step it up :whip3:

I guess I may have a bit of that because I have to force my eyes to see that I have lost tons off my arms and legs and neck and face. One negative about losing weight is losing the baby fat from my face and neck though. Now I'm starting to see wrinkles :grimreaper:

Oh hun, I understand. My arms, butt, neck, and stomach look like a sharpei dog - and I've been exercising nd weight training for the entire time as well!!

I just started 3 weeks ago…have to lose 88lbs….which sounds enormous. But high blood pressure and high cholesterol made it necassary as I do not want to take medication. Diet, exercise….let’s hope it’ll work. 3 weeks = 5,5 lbs lost so it’s a great start

You can do it!! Do your best to get your exercise and muscle strength training - and enough protein so you don't lose too much muscle mass!
