Good Morning ladies!!!

Beautiful day here!!! High around 60 degrees and the sun is shinning BRIGHTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHO HAS PLANS?? No kids for us today...Husband is home..no hunting for him today....we are off to get into whatever trouble we can :mrgreen:
That typically means, lunch out and Walmart!! :rofl:

Yesterday was a pretty good day....the kids had a blast with the Candy Houses!!! My little Savannah ate most of her Candy rather than putting it on her house!! HAHA!!! Morning Linda and everyone els!

I almost never go to Walmart with Dick or rather I never have him go with me! I don't go often but when I do I love to wander hither and yon. If I go 20 miles in one direction, I can hit a Walmart, a Michaels, an AC Moore, a Target, a Costco and a Wegmans. If I actually did all of those I would be comatose on the highway!

I feel a bit bad about being so irked with Dick not listening to me re the congestion and WHAT meds to take. He now has a tooth/gum infection which I suspect was the main issue to begin with. Anyhow, his 'teeth dr' gave him an antibiotic so hopefully he'll feel better later today.

He may stay home for the potluck tonight. My cookies taste better today so I'm ok with taking them. The one or two pieces I had were enough for me to get a sweet tooth fix. I like baking this way for others, and not having the goodies round for us.

Oh I finally got my Fall/Halloween bin down from the attic. The few decorations I'm putting up are almost all up and my dishtowels are in the drawer. Finally!!!

Good morning fabulous "O" ladies!!! It pored:rain: this morning, but now the sun is coming out and it looks to be a great day!! Perhaps another long walk with MG is in order today. The backyard needs some work also as my hosta plants are done and its time to put them to bed for the UGH Winter!

Nana Linda - your pics on facebook are great!! A wonderful way to keep the kids involved and out of trouble! Hope they weren't climbing the walls after all the sweet treats!! So cute!! Hope you have a fabulous day with your MG!!!

Maureen - Aww your poor hubby!! Hope the antibiotics kick in for him soon!! I also love to bake and then give it away, its the last thing I need in my house is more temptation to put on more weight!! Love the smells and just a bit is enough to satisfy my tummy for a while. My MG however would eat the whole batch of cookies himself I am sure!! Have a great time at the Potluck!!

Afternoon - after dance we stopped at that cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore and bought cabinets for the basement for 200 dollars- now we are heading to pick them up and choose how to refinish them for us- we are thinking glossy black! It is coming together- so scary!!

hi, there, younz guys! (as we say in my home town....) a beautiful day here, for a change. Fall looks a little more Fall-ish when the sun is shining.

i went and bought an antique monster armoire. if my grandchildren were nearby, it would be a perfect Narnia wardrobe to make up stories about, but, as it is.... my hubby and i have to get to the antique store tomorrow and take the thing apart and get it to our house. then, reassemble. all this because my husband, who can do ANYTHING, doesn't have time to build the floor-to-ceiling cabinet i was asking for in the library. well, life is short and i can't wait. so. Giant Armoire it is. i need STORAGE!

Linda, i think you must be so much FUN for the kids. candy houses. I WANT TO BUILT ON and LIVE in it!

Maureen, aren't we funny to worry so about our men's health? dunno about you, but my husband never gives how I'M feeling a second thought. such creatures.

Good morning all! We're back up at the cabin for a few days. No major projects online this time, although Les is out chopping wood right now. It was raining first thing this morning but, now that its stopped, perhaps we'll head out for a walk.

Linda - Building candy houses sound like way too much fun!!

Maureen - Hope the meds kick in quickly for your dh and he feels better soon. I don't bake anymore unless I can take it somewhere, or its Christmas and there's lots of others around to eat the goodies!

Trudy - Good luck with the yard work - I still haven't finished mine yet either.

Laurie and Phylis - enjoy your new cabinets. Glossy black sounds wonderful Laurie. Its always good to get more storage! Do you have to refinish your armoire too Phylis?

well, good thing we really needed the base cabinets more than the top as we had several fall out to the ground on the way home stops that were the upper cabinets. We have some fixing up to do and then- painting. After church plan to hit the home improvement store for paint and maybe even baseboard and then, I can start to put the furniture back in my craft room, and only bring back what I love!!!!!

Yes, my huge craft room, our bar/tv/fireplace area, our new dance practice/party with friends space & the exercise and furnace/storage areas! Makes all this hard work worthwhile!!
