Audrey's condition has continued to decline. They had to do a pleurodesis procedure on her which basically cements your lung permanently to your chest wall. This will prevent her lung from continuing to fill up with fluids. She has now developed severe low platelets. The average range for platelets is 150,000-450,000. Audrey's blood platelet level is 2,000 after being given 6,000 units. My brother is trying to get her transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville from their small hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. He is hopeful that she would be able to get a liver transplant. We appreciate your prayers and well wishes for Audrey and our family. This is a very hard emotional journey for all of us who love her but especially for my brother and their sons.
