I am so sorry to hear that Mary. Contact your doctor again and ask that they flag this as urgent. Demand to speak to him, call repeatedly if you have to. I work for doctors and know sometimes this just has to be done. Doesn't always work but it might. Keep bugging them. If it feels bad enough go into Emergency and they might do it as an in-patient. You could fib a bit and say your heart is fluttering and uncomfortable. That always gets things moving. I don't know what your healthcare is like b/c I don't want to cause you unnecessary costs to try to get this done sooner but if it doesn't cost you anything, try it. I work in the healthcare industry and know how flawed it is (at least here in Canada) so sometimes you just have to push back a bit. I really hope they don't keep you waiting much longer.
I know here in Canada that anything that might be related to the heart they don't fool around with, they admit you and get things done.
