Oh for sure! You can diagnose yourself with all sorts of diseases using Google! lol! It's hard not to worry so hopefully he can take his mind of things and go and do something enjoyable.

I know how hard it is to stay off Google. If it helps, my brother has several nodules and fluid-filled cysts on his lung. He's had them for many years (decades, really) and they monitor them for any changes. Hopefully, Tod's will be the same or something that goes away quickly.

My own husband has been through 6 years of misdiagnosis, with possible thyroid cancer in the mix. I understand. Thankfully things are not usually as bad as we first think.
