I have been remiss in updating you about our vow renewal, but I wanted to have pictures to go with my update. Both Michael and I wanted to stay in the moment, so neither of us took pictures. I asked Melissa (our 19yo) to take pictures, but she had friends there she hadn't seen in a while and was busy doing kid things. SOOOOO I don't have many pictures yet, but I do have some I can share.
I didn't wind up finding a dress that was fancier than a Church dress, but not as fancy as a Mother of the Bride type dress, but I think the dress I found was perfect for how the day turned out. I did not lose weight before the day, so I was pretty self-conscious about the fact that I had packed on some pounds. Michael didn't plan ahead and found that his nice pants were a little too snug to wear that morning, so he had to wear his winter slacks that were a size larger. He was so cute - he made sure his tie matched my dress.
Out of the 25 people we invited, they all came! I was surprised that my nephews came to the church as they don't really want anything to do with religion. The sister who did the flower arrangements for the flowers was there and she was so happy for us - she came up afterwards and took a picture with us and the flowers. We had two of these vases.
The renewal was within the Mass. They called us up and gave an intro, then we exchanged vows again, and then the church prayed over us. This priest is crazy about 6 ft social distancing still...so he was not right next to us like it would have been.
Family picture, and then all our friends who came.
The cake cutting. On our original wedding day, Mike did a Jack Nicholas imitation, and he did it again. LOL
Good photos:
rest in next post.
