All members that participate, can everyone PLEASE ensure that you read all the rules for this challenge so that you can claim your challenge points. Thank you! :)

Welcome to a new month of challenges, it is November!

For this lyrics challenge I would like you to scrap lyrics
that have a special meaning to you or your family.
Words from a song that have come part of your daily life.

My words are Nein Mann

When my kids learned the German language in school, they both had the same
teacher and both learned through the same method, using German songs.
So when Haye was listening to this song, Maya remembered and then I learned
about the song too.

this is part of the song (by Kraftwerk 3D):
Nein, Mann!
Ich will noch nicht gehen
Ich will noch 'n bisschen tanzen
Komm schon, Alter, ist doch noch nicht so spät
Lass uns noch 'n bisschen tanzen

in English
No, man, I don't wanna go yet.
I still wanna dance for a bit!
C'mon, (old) dude.
It's not even that late yet.
Let's dance for just a bit!

Since that time the words Nein Mann are often used in our family.
For example, when I ask (think tell or order) my kids to do something and they are busy
doing something else one answers Nein Mann, and the other one joins in with the
rest of the lyrics!

Here is my layout.

So, your challenge is to scrap lyrics to a special song.
No photo required because not all memories are caught on camera.
If the story is not added to your layout, please share it in the forum.

If you have any questions, just ask!

The song can be found here on youtube.

Thanks for such a wonderful challenge.
To Where You Are sung by Josh Groban has very special meaning to me since my husband passed away in 2018.
It brings me comfort when I missing him.

Interesting Diane... I took the words to be about death, but if that was the intent of the song, you family has certainly reversed that thought... Fun!!!!

I don't know if there is a deeper meaning to the lyrics of the song, for me it is just about having fun/dancing in general. but as to death, I am not ready to give up on life either! so it all fits for me.

Song is My Wish by Rascal Flatts. Being the mom of three boys and now grandma to two grandsons, I want them all to remember the important things in life always!
My wish:
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too
Yeah, this, is my wish
I hope you never look back, but you never forget
All the ones who love you, in the place you live
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake
And always give more than you take

Time in a bottle was "Our Song".

Time in a bottle

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day
'Til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure and then
Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

I used the lyrics from Imagine by John Lennon to celebrate our historic Madam Vice President-Elect. Kamala Harris. Seemed very fitting.

Used Crafty Button Design kit, Miss Indepdence.

Thanks for hosting, Diane.

a story I have been meaning to write down for a long time...

I was was barely 17 when I graduated HS a year early, in June of 1958. My very first job was at W.T. Grant company in the cosmetics dept... I hated it... having to dust and “look” busy while the fat store manager strolled the store looking for infractions and puffing on his stinky cigars!!!!! The lunch counter was right next to my dept., and I eyed it, thinking if I learned to be a Waitress, I would always be able to find work, so I applied and was allowed to change departments. I did not stay long, taking a job at the Desert Oasis Hotel as a waitress in their dining room... good memories of those days... Just a happy teenager... Then that job came to an end and I applied to be a Car Hop... Yep... just like in American Graffiti... We had 2 main drive ins in town and everyone “cruised” between the 2 of them all night long mostly on the weekends... I was thrilled to be a car hop... (no roller skates).... One of my customers was this good looking guy in a little ‘’32 Plymouth coupe, with windshield wipers that fell off in your hand when you tried to put the ticket under them. He liked to tip just a few pennies... Yes, even back then that was a slam, but designed to make the waitresses take a 2nd look at him! I was hooked! One Sunday afternoon our local Electric company was having an open house at their new facility... I thought I would use that as an excuse to get closer to him, but he was nowhere to be found... so I hit on another guy I was not at all interested in... After touring the site we returned to the Top Hat for something to drink... and while sitting there, I saw the ”cool” guy pull in... I said good bye to my stunned date and hopped out of his car and over into the Plymouth coupe... I was wearing a mint green skirt and sweater made of wool and I spilled my coffee all over the skirt... The stain never did come out! We went for a drive that night and the rest is history....with a few more stories in between! One of the current hit songs at that time was “To Know Him Is To Love him” and I was in love with that song and will forever associate it with Rodger, my husband for 36 years. Sadly he died in 1997.
